My name is Mrs. Kathleen Ritchie and I am your student's Language Arts and Reading Teacher!
I am very excited to work with your student to achieve what he/she is capable of and push them not only to meet but to exceed their capabilities!
Some characteristics that describe me are caring, devoted, enthusiastic, ORGANIZED, and always giving my very best!

This year, I hope my students take pride in all that they do and work hard to reach their dreams! My main expectation is that they learn something new each day and value all that they will learn throughout the year!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my fourth year in Creve Coeur School District 76 and my third year in the classroom. This year I have the pleasure of directing the Parkview [[#|tutoring]] programm in collaboration with the Tazwell Health Department and I also participate on the PBIS and Recycling committee. In my free time, I am a Speech Team assistant coach at Washington Community High School. For the 2013-2014 Season, I am coaching Extemp, Impromptu, Radio, Special Occasion Speaking, Humorous Duet Acting, and Original Comedy.

I graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education]] (K-9 Certificate). I have endorsements in Theatre Arts and Drama, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I am always striving to keep updated on best practices as well as taking classes to further my professional development!
